The Mount Gretna International Film Festival honors the life of Michael Evan Deitzler by celebrating storytelling through independent short films submitted from around the world. Set in the artistic community of Mount Gretna, PA, the festival takes place during the same weekend as the beloved Mount Gretna Art Show giving visitors the perfect opportunity to experience both events. It’s a weekend full of creativity, culture, and scenic beauty, where guests can explore the art show by day and enjoy inspiring films by night.
MtGIFF celebrates the proud history and beauty of Mount Gretna, and honors “The Greatest Life” of Michael Evan Deitzler, who lived fully and passionately, loving family, friends, film and all things Mt. Gretna – which has raised artists, like Evan, for generations. MtGIFF hopes to cultivate and spread the creativity of filmmakers from all over the world by means of coming together and celebrating film “Under the Trees of Old Chautauqua.”
